A dialogical approach of the storytelling art from  the participants. Why do we tell stories? What do we need them? Does storyteller means poet? Tradition: Can we have an energetic stand and point of view about it? Fantasy, imagination, memory-how do they work? Truth, reality, Myth,  folktale. Is oral word,  one through literacy or through improvisation?

Dreams and Memories –Storytelling Workshop for Adults (in English)

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on.......”  (W Shakespeare - The Tempest)

The stories that we tell each other are usually a mixture of memory and dream, of personal experience mingled with wish and desire. In this workshop we will move between the world of personal memory and the dream world of story. We will be looking at personal stories, revealing the layers of meaning within them, and exploring how the sharing of  these stories with others can transform our view of ourselves. We will also be learning how we can create a world out of words and gestures in which our listeners can believe......

This Workshop is for any adults interested in exploring their personal relationship with story in a shared and safe workshop environment. No previous experience of performing is necessary, just a belief in the power of stories to “give delight, and hurt not.......”

Storytelling Workshop: Gozde Atalay Kokkoris-Panagiotis Kokkoris

“Searching the storyteller inside us!” (in english & greek)

The search of  the storyteller inside us is a personal trip. It’s a journey in known and in unknown  aspects of our personality. It’s a journey which  invites us to follow our impulses and trust our body. It call us to live in here and  now, by showing trust to the creative abilities of failure but also to the freedom of mistake. In this specific workshop we will up rise the playing mood , the body awareness, the simplicity but also our spontaneity. At the same time we will use all these as means for new narrative approaches. We will exempt ourselves from fears and  moods of  self critisicm  through playing, body excercises, the three minutes method  as well with the vigilance excercises. We will get free from the fetters of “Me” and at the same time we will advance our presence on scene and our vital relationship with the audience.
